My wife and I were looking for a rental in Anthem after a foreclosure when we happened upon Chris. In addition to the foreclosure, we also have cats (which turn out to be the kiss of death in a hot rental market) and a couple of other agents essentially just shrugged us off by never calling or emailing back. Where the others had left us for not, Chris answered every phone call (never had to leave a voicemail) and responded to every email promptly. Although we weren't able to find a property together, I can honestly say I've never worked with a more caring and professional person in the real estate field. It's very safe to assume there is more money to be made selling a house that renting one, so I truly believe he puts clients before commissions as his motto states.
Thanks Chris. We will recommend you to anyone we know looking for a home.

I've lived in Flagstaff for the past 36 years - so transitioning to the valley was a huge life change. I was fortunate to call Chris from a real estate sign on Easter Sunday, 2010, at dinner time, no less. Chris called back within 30 minutes, and that characterizes the professional relationship weve developed. Chris is prompt, courteous and gently persistent as he represents his clients. As it turned out, after a significant amount of work on everyone's part, we pulled the plug on the first short sale purchase on the day it was scheduled to close. Think that soured Chris on us? Probably (ha,ha), but in no way did he show it. Within about two weeks he emailed us another great listing - this time, no short sale involved. As it turned out we've closed on that house and it is unquestionably a better fit for us than the first. Furthermore, Chris has connected us to a variety of construction and service people, all of whom have made our life easier.

In short, we put Chris through the paces - short sale, aborted closing and a type-A personality on my part (my wife is admittedly normal most of the time). Chris came through for us with flying colors and we're lovin' Anthem.

When a job change recently forced us to relocate away from Anthem, we didn't have the slightest idea what to do "about the house". Some friends said "walk away - you'll never be able to sell".....but that didn't feel right to us.....

We have come to know Chris on a personal level and although he didn't sell us the house, we decided to give him a call. We know him to be honest, straightforward, compassionate and hey - more than a little bit funny - and we needed some good advice and even some humor during such a stressful time. We called him, he came to see us and as we described the situation. He was encouraging, had done the research and helped us decide that we would try to do a traditional sale and recommended a list price. As frazzled as we felt at the time, just meeting with Chris and developing a plan made us feel better.

The following day we had paperwork and pictures done and the house was on the market. Another day later, we were at the end of 5 showings and had our first above full price offer. Less than another 24 hours and our home was under contract. We just couldn't believe it! Chris continued to give us great advice and support through the counteroffer, inspection, minor repairs and appraisal. The closing took place less than 30 days later.

All the things we love about Chris through our friendship with him stayed true when he was wearing his "realtor" hat. We will miss a lot of things about Anthem and people like Chris Prickett are at the top of the list! You couldn't ask for a better realtor!

We met Chris in December of 2009. We were visiting our daughter and grandchildren for the holidays...
After many morning walks, my husband was shocked at the homes for sale!! Our daughter told us if we were ever thinking of buying "now would be the time". She recommended Chris. He had just helped her find a gorgeous rental home. YES, HE DOES RENTALS!! He carted us from one end of Anthem to another. I think we viewed 29 homes that day. Nothing screamed "buy me". We flew back to Minnesota without any prospects. I being a salesperson was a little embarrassed that with all the time and effort Chris gave us and we still couldn't find the right house...thank you Chris for NEVER ONCE rolling your eyes!! THEN...in Chris' words, "drum roll please"...
To make a long story short, one week after we returned to Minnesota Chris sent us information about a house we might like...we did!!! It was a short sale...he warned us to buy Maalox BUT in the end we didn't need it. We bought this house sight unseen!! It closed in 10 weeks...we are thrilled with our "winter paradise"...
Yes, we'll be snowbirds beginning this year. We are so excited about this next chapter of our lives. We love Anthem...my husband summed it up when we flew down there last month to see our new winter home...he said "everyone seems so happy here"...:o)
Not all realtors like the "rental client" or the "short sale prospect" ...Chris treated our family like a "million bucks"... Thank you Chris for your expertise, your insight and yes, your sense of humor!! I still laugh when I think of you apologizing for your "Gumbie hair"... the morning we first met!! Keep up the GREAT work Gumbie!!!

When we started working with Chris, we were planning on making some improvements to our home before listing it for sale. He helped us determine which changes would get us the most bang for our buck and present the most value to a prospective buyer.

We had a very slim margin for our traditional sale and like most we did not want to come out of pocket. Chris figured out what we needed to get for our home - enough to pay off the debt, realtor fees and a certain amount of punch list fix-it items - and looked at the comps and our price was set. The price was spot on, in less than a week we had 2 full price offers.

During the home inspection process a few items were found and with Chris's previous experience as a home inspector and contractor, he was able to help explain to the buyer's agent why certain things were done and that to modify them would actually breakdown the integrity of the structure. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.

In the end, our home closed within 3 weeks and we were able to happily move on the next chapter in our life.

In November 2009 I called Chris in distress about my inability to pay my mortgage and to ask him about what options lay before me. He was kind enough to come over and spell out everything I needed to know and encourage me to attempt a short-sale of my house instead of going into foreclosure. I know Chris' love for the Anthem community was behind his compassionate demeanor and helpful ways. In January I signed with Chris, the sign was put out, and within only two weeks there was a viable offer. Chris (and his assistant, Ron) kept me apprised every step of the way through the process. It wasn't as painful as I had heard from other people. Interestingly enough, the bank approved quickly, papers were signed and I moved out on April 14. I think that is the shortest, most painless short-sale I ever heard of. Thank you Chris. You are a miracle worker.

We just wanted to thank Chris for all he did for us while we were house searching and selling our home . In this Real Estate market Iit is quite a challenge to choose a home and sell a home. Chris made it so much easier. His honesty and knowledge of the area and also his inspection background made it so much easier. He saw things that we hadn't even noticed. He was always willing to show us houses at any time or any neighborhood we wanted to see. He was always cheerful and prepared, no matter how busy he was. He was also available no matter what questions we had by telephone. Thank you again Chris for making our house searching and selling a very pleasant if not challenging experience.

Chris,

It's difficult to know where & how to begin to thank you for all that you have done & continue to do for us; as we make Anthem our new 'home.' Your knowledge base - [or should I say, your internal data base] - of 'all things Anthem' is an invaluable asset that made our decision to settle here an easy decision. Moving in over the Christmas Season was made even easier with all of your guidence & input. Thank you for being there & continuing to be so, as we transition to our new home.

Sincerely,
John & Gail Jorgensen

As we settle into our home in Anthem, we wanted to take a moment to thank Chris for all his help and guidance in finding the right home for us. What a gem! We have worked with many agents over the years, but we have never had an agent like Chris...he treats you like a family member and makes sure you like what you see. Sometimes, during the home buying process, you only see what you want to see, Chris makes sure you see everything.

Thanks again Chris!

We began shopping for our home from out of state and contacted Chris early on. We chose him because of his background in home inspection and specialization in Anthem homes. As we worked with him, he quickly proved to be more than just an agent--he was a trusted guide and friend.

When we flew out to do some shopping, he was more than happy to show us around all weekend and, because he had taken the time to understand who we were and whet we wanted, we quickly found a place that we fell in love with. He then provided expert advise and guidance in closing the sale successfully and as a result, we think we scored an incredible deal on a dream home.

He never pushes or comes across as a "sales" guy and we appreciated his honesty and transparency. This guy really walks the talk.

We still consider Chris a dear friend and he not only helped us find our Anthem place, but he's made us feel welcome in the community. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a home in north Phoenix.

Chris,

Dodie and I want to thank you for all your help, assistance, advice and patience in working with us to find and finally purchase a home here in Anthem. Your advice on those homes we walked into and you immediately saw problems was invaluable. We are progressing forward on the items needing attention on our home and I know when we get through, we will have a fine home to live in and enjoy "the fruits of our labor" and I include you in that statement.

Again, thank you for the generous house warming gift which is being used quite successfully toward our paint project. It is the perfect gift for a new home owner.

We enjoyed our venture with you and hope to have many other occasions to enjoy the friendship.

Thanks again,

Steve and Dodie
